Father Douglas, osf Ohh Canada! Watercolours of Canada's National Parks
Douglas' artistic pursuit was significantly encouraged by his parents, and was enrolled in private art clases at an early age.
He later graduated from the Banff Centre with a Senior Dipoma in Theatre Crafts & Design.
He has been fortunate to study under some of the most illustrious artists of international fame. Some being, Mr. Gordon Adaskin, RCA; Mr. John Graham, Dean of Architecture, U of Manitoba; Mr. Josef Svoboda, National Artist of Czechoslovakia; and Mrs. Amelia Garb, National Artist of Nepal.
Douglas has studied and worked in various mediums throughout his career, some being pottery and hand built clay work, etching, silk-screen prints, watercolours, oil paints, acrylics and stained glass.
Douglas currently resides in Edmonton and is a Brother in the religious order of Franciscan Missionary Brothers.
