I take the image of a flower and manipulate the shapes and colours in a way that pleases me.
My reality is not always nature's reality.
My work starts out with a wax outline, which is filled in with watercolour. The finished piece is then brushed with hot melted bees wax and paraffin, which is then ironed out on newsprint.
