Mariann Sinkovics is an Edmonton-based multi-disciplinary artist, well known for her work in painting, installation, public and performance art.

A graduate of York University's Fine Arts Program, her career in Alberta has included numerous exhibitions, public art commissions, and festival performance. Her work is in the permanent collection of the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, the Grant MacEwan Jasper Place Arts Building, and in private collections across Canada.

Sinkovics has a special interest in developing work that plays off absurd themes in pop and commercial culture, and has a distinct style of comment that makes her work immensely accessible and frequently humorous.
