A ghost story from Mill Creek, by Jean Connor

In May of 1951 moved from 110 Street to the big house on 92 Street and 98 Ave. across from where the Saskatchewan Drive runs into 99 Street. The house was built in the 1920’s. There was an Alley on the West Side and the South side of the house. I loved watching the milkman and his horse drawn wagon delivering our milk where his horse would just keep walking down the alley. It had 3 bedrooms upstairs but my brother moved to the basement one summer when he was about 10 because it was hot and he never moved back upstairs to his room.

I was always aware of an Entity in the house. When I was a lone in the big front room I always sat in the chair in the corner by the fireplace because there was someone else in the room. When my brother was living in the basement with Missy [the part Pekinese dog,] they would hear the Ghost breath behind the wall. When Missy and Duane would hear the breathing they would dive under the covers and Missy would start shaking. This was not a one time happing.

Years later after we had all moved on, my friend who now lived down the street from the big house asked me a question. He said “about your Parents house” I answered “you mean the Ghost?” He said “yes” the new people living in the house wanted to know if anyone else knew that there was a ghost. So the Ghost is still there.
